Meet Ronell LaPorte
Ronell LaPorte is a professional dog trainer with over 20 years of experience working with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Her deep passion for animals — and a lifelong dream of building something truly special — led her to create The Rovervelt Pet Hotel and Spa.
What started as a dream became Westwego's only pet hotel: a place where every animal is treated with patience, expertise, and genuine care.

Our climate-controlled indoor play area keeps pets comfortable no matter the season. Whether it's the heat of a Louisiana summer or a cold winter morning, your pet stays active, happy, and comfortable inside.
Outdoor Playground
Our HUGE outdoor playground gives pets plenty of room to run, explore, and socialize. Fully enclosed by a large wooden privacy fence and monitored by video surveillance around the clock — so your pet can play freely and you can feel at ease.
